December 3, 2016 – 95Q (WDZQ-FM) hosted its 2nd Annual 95Q Secret Santa Concert at the Decatur Civic Center Theater in Decatur, Illinois. Due the sold out crowd in 2015, a matinee show was added to this year’s program. Both shows were sold to nearly capacity. Just as last year, the performers for the show were kept a secret until brought to the stage to perform.
The 2016 artists were Stoney Creek recording artist Adam Craig, newcomer Taylor Acorn, and local favorites Wreckless Whiskey. The crowd was thrilled with the performances and eagerly met the artists on the mezzanine following the shows.
The shows also featured a silent auction that raised over $2,200, as well as, a guitar raffle that included autographed guitars by Luke Bryan, Gary Allan, Kip Moore, Parmalee, and a guitar signed by over 50 country stars. With ticket sales topping $9,000 we will be able to give a generous donation the local Salvation Army Angel Tree program.
Planning for the 2017 95Q Secret Santa Concert are already underway.
