Neuhoff Media Springfield held a 12-hour “Radiothon for Relief” on Wednesday, September 6, 2017. Combined with the efforts of Mylas Copeland and Green Toyota and several volunteers from local law enforcement, nearly 50 thousand pounds of goods were collected and sent to Galveston, Texas.
The CDL training team of Midwest Technical Institute (MTI) transported all goods to the Galveston area for distribution. The tractor trailers were escorted from Illinois by members of the local law enforcement communities.
Sangamon County Police Chiefs from Riverton, Rochester, Williamsville, The Village of Jerome and Sherman also served as drop off points before and after the Radiothon.
Items collected include bottled water, cleaning supplies, gently used shoes and clothing and non-perishable food items.
