Neuhoff Media station, 104 .5 WFMB, and Hy-Vee gave away free turkeys Tuesday, November 21, at 10:45 a.m. for 10 minutes and 45 seconds at Capitol Storage’s 2225 J . David Jones Parkway location in Springfield.
Tuesday’s “Turkey Drop” was the final day for listeners to receive a free turkey before the Thanksgiving holiday. WFMB – FM hosted two Turkey Drops at other Capito l Storage locations last week with a huge response and nearly 300 turkeys handed out.
This is the first year WFMB – FM has teamed up with Hy-Vee and Capitol Storage for the Turkey Drop. and gave away 341 turkeys!
WFMB – FM Morning Show Host, Heather Anderson, notes, “ It’s fun to see the smiles you can bring to people by simply giving them a turkey. We’ve seen everything from co-workers carpooling, to taxi cabs full with riders, to even someone picking up a homeless person to get them something to eat for Thanksgiving. It puts faces to people who listen to us daily and draws a community together. I love being able to spread joy this holiday season.
