Neuhoff Media stations WXAJ-FM, WFMB-FM, and WDZQ-FM hosted the Annual St. Jude Cares for Kids Radiothon on February 21 & 22, 2019. The Radiothon raised $190,130 for research and operating expenses at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, TN.
The staff at Springfield’s 99-7 The MIX, 104.5 WFMB, Decatur’s 95Q, local businesses in the Springfield and Decatur community, and listeners joined forces to make this event a success.
Neuhoff Media Springfield Operations Manager and WFMB-FM and Decatur’s 95Q Program Director, Josh Roberts, notes, “Thanks to Central Illinois for supporting the cause and making it a success. The generosity of our listeners in Springfield and Decatur will help children affected by cancer, not only in Memphis, but right here in Central Illinois.
2019 marks the 30th year for WFMB-FM, with host, John Spalding, having participated in every Radiothon since 1989.
WXAJ (The MIX) was the first CHR radio station to host a Radiothon for St. Jude, with 2019 marking the 14th year.
Neuhoff Media has raised approximately $2 million for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital over the last 30 years of participation in the Annual Radiothon.
More than 300 radio stations across the country have helped raise more than $600 million for the lifesaving work of St. Jude, and the St. Jude family of partner stations continues to expand.
